Ash Fork Vegas and Bruno Mars were amazing, but my plans of hitting the Grand Canyon afterwards were soundly put to sleep by a dead alternator right outside of the Sonoran Desert. The Redwoods and Klamath Heading from southern Oregon to northern California was easily my favorite day of driving on the whole trip. Just beautiful everywhere. I did have to laugh that I saw my first burned out trees about three minutes after passing into California, but the forests are just absolutely gorgeous. Mt. Rainier National Park After a very nice break in Seattle visiting family, I got back on the road and started hitting up the trails again.
